Aerospace Adhesives

Master Bond Inc. aerospace adhesives are designed to fulfill rigorous industry requirements for aerospace and defense electronics, interior aircraft applications and structural applications for aircraft. Epoxy, silicone, polyurethane, polysulfide and UV cure systems are available to meet specific end use requirements. These include low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), low stress, cryogenic serviceability, ultra low moisture absorption, special flow properties, high glass transition temperature (Tg), low outgassing ,high purity and more.

Aerospace industry compliance certifications

Three specific tests pertaining to the aerospace industry include NASA low outgassing, Federal Aviation Regulations 25.853(a) for flame retardancy, and Boeing standards for low smoke and toxicity .Our product line includes a variety of compounds that pass these strict testing requirements and were conducted by well established independent testing laboratories, as well as by U.S. government agencies.

Master Bond aerospace adhesives

We formulate a wide variety of high performance adhesives, sealants, coatings, potting and encapsulation compounds that meet safety, weight management, strength, acoustic, maintainability and assembly requirements for aircraft manufacturing.

A few other popular products include:

  • EP21TCHT-1 a two part, room temperature curable epoxy system with high thermal conductivity. This product is serviceable from cryogenic temperatures up to +400°F and meets NASA low outgassing specifications.
  • EP21FRNS-2 may be used for potting, encapsulation or casting  and meets UV 94V-0 flame retardant specifications. It features a convenient one to one mix ratio by weight and has excellent electrical insulation characteristics.
  • EP29LPSP has ultra low viscosity and remarkable cryogenic properties. It can withstand a rapid drop in temperature and is NASA low outgassing approved.
  • EP90FR-V is an epoxy system that passes the vertical burn test portion of the FAR standard 14 CFR 25.853(a) for flame retardancy. It also passes Boeing standard BSS 7238, Revision C for low smoke and BSS 7239, Revision A for toxicity.
