Acid Resistant Pipes

Ipex Management Inc.: Acid Resistant Pipes

Blending the best of traditional and innovative manufacturing practices, IPEX Inc. manufactures a diverse line of piping systems, including acid resistant pipes, fittings, valves and more. We are proud to offer out customers training and assistance beyond software and technical literature, and our well-informed sales, technical and engineering teams are happy to walk you through attributes, uses and installation methods for any of our products. We are committed to following our stringent safety standards and participation in environmental programs.

Acid Resistant Pipes Product Lines

We manufacture three acid resistant piping systems that have been specially designed for acid waste transportation. These pipes are easy to install, can handle a wide variety of chemicals and pH levels, and last longer and require less maintenance than ductile iron or borosilicate glass systems.

  • Available in flame-retardant or non-flame retardant polypropylene, Enfield piping systems offer reliability, corrosion resistance and unprecedented control of jointing, through our patented electrofusion system.
  • Using mechanical joints, the Labline system allows for quick installation, dismantling and reconfiguration. Molded from corrosion-resistant polypropylene, this system is designed to prevent pipe pull-out and subsequent leakage.
  • The resilient Plenumline system also uses mechanical joints, and is designed for transporting hazardous material such as high-temperature corrosive chemical waste. Molded from flame-retardant PTFD, Plenumline pipes offer flexibility, high impact resistance and low cost installation.

Acid Resistant Pipes Industrial Applications

We are pleased to work with customers in the electrical, telecommunications and utility industries. We also focus on environmentally friendly applications.

Acid Resistant Pipes Manufacturing Process

To make electrofusion fittings in our Enfield systems, we mold a heavy-gauge resistance wire, made of a chrome and nickel alloy, into each joint socket. We then heat the wire with a microprocessor-controlled fusion control unit, which creates a high-integrity bond between the pipe and the fitting in just a few minutes.
