Acetal Sheets Product Line
We distribute acetal sheets in a variety of sizes and thicknesses. Acetal is a strong, stiff and tough plastic that absorbs minimum amounts of moisture, and in humid environments, outperforms nylon four to one. Acetal has a good resistance to organic solvents, but not to strong acids and bases. Acetal has a low-coefficient of friction and good bearing characteristics. It also has high dielectric strength and can be used in many electrical applications. Acetal products can be used in continuous temperatures of up to 82ºC and in intermittent temperatures of up to 93ºC. Most acetals are produced from resin that is FDA-approved for contact with food.
