A range of AC current transmitters is available from Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. Our transmitters offer features including field-configurable ranges, low power requirements, and full isolation for signal and power. They can be set up quickly, and are capable of retransmitting signals to a wide variety of devices with standard process signals. AC current transmitters

One example of the transmitters available is the API 6380 G HV isolated AC to DC transmitter. This transmitter has 24 input ranges and 16 output ranges that are field configurable. It also features fast setup, LoopTracker LEDs, an output test button, and full isolation of input, output, and power. The LoopTracker LEDs provide a quick visual representation of the process loop by varying in brightness to reflect changes in the input and output signals. The full isolation capabilities make this transmitter useful for noise pickup reduction, ground loop elimination, and common mode signal rejection.

Also available are the Series SC468 and SCL468 AC current and voltage isolator/transmitters from Love Controls. These transmitters can provide low cost retransmission of any AC current from 10 mA to 100 mA. They are also capable of transmitting voltages from 100 mV to 200 mV. The two models offer different power supply options: The SC468 does not require an extra power supply because it operates on line power; and the SCL468 uses low power so it is suitable for systems that work exclusively at low voltages.
