Advanced plastics technology is continually innovated to outperform its industrial plastics predecessors.

The construction of durable polymer components and materials is depended upon industries from aerospace to transportation to enable the fabrication of durable plastic structures.

Sophisticatedly engineered sheets, rods and tubes of advanced industrial plastics demand abrasion excellence, chemical resistance and tensile strength for a host of commercial and industrial applications.

Let P & A Plastics introduce you to our three tough amigos specifically crafted to deliver the best in long-lasting, mechanical performance.

The brilliance of Borotron®

Made with 5 per cent elemental boron, Borotron® is a high-density polyethylene boasting seamless polymer fabrication capabilities providing firm form and flawless function for manufacturers using this material in a wide range of service and operating temperatures.

Medical and industrial shielding applications profit from the properties Borotron®, which attenuates and absorb neutron radiation.

Celazole®: the caretaker of heat

Known also by its scientific name of polybenzimidazole or PBI for short, Celazole® provides superior heat resistance and mechanical retention of temperatures in excess of 204°C or 400°F on any unfilled plastic.

Celazole® also offers industries the most bang for the buck in thermal insulation, wear resistance and load conveyance even under extreme temperature exceeding capabilities of reinforced or unreinforced engineering plastics by far.

While semiconductor manufacturers gravitate to Celazole® for vacuum chamber applications, ultrasonic measurement professionals reach for it when creating probe tip lenses for their ultrasonic measurement devices.

Why?

Because PBI keeps it ‘clean’: its ionic impurity properties allow for PBI not to release substances, with exception to water.

Need tough? Make it Torlon® tough

While its stage name may be Torlon®, the industry commonly refers to this type advanced plastics as PAI or polyamid-imide.

Torlon® can take the heat as an overachiever in performing the highest in melt processable plastic.

With the ability to operate under service temperatures as high as 260°C or 500°F, PAI’s prowess in elevated heat and stress is the cherry on an already overloaded sundae of top treats: greater compressive strength; high impact and creep resistance and significantly low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, which contributes to dimensional stability over the entire service range.
