Gas cylinders, valves, and connections must be protected with equipment designed for a specific gas because connecting incorrect equipment can result in dangerous chemical reactions. Daemar carries compressed-gas protection items that comply with the requirements of various applications and industries. Designed for the medical sector, the SVS series protects the delicate valves of oxygen cylinders from dust and contaminants with inexpensive plastic sleeves, which slip easily over valves and lock into place. After applying each sleeve, the user can remove it only via the tear tab, which offers a tamper/use evident seal; this ensures that the tank delivered is full and free of contamination, thereby preventing expensive liabilities.

The SVS series is made of low-density polyethylene and comes in green, with white as a standard option. Three styles are available – SVS1, for valves that do not include washers; SVS-2W, which does accommodate a washer; and SVS-500, a smaller model with the same lock-in feature and tamper evidence, but covering less of the valve.

Daemar also offers the UES series of patented design straps for use on compressed-gas cylinder valves. Each unit fits a full range of CGA-listed valves. The versatile dual-locking system enables use as either a cap or a plug and offers tamper evidence for both uses. Moulded in flexible and durable materials, the strap is perfect for application in all climates. This series is made of thermoplastic elastomer and comes in yellow or red.
