Sandpiper heavy-duty ball metallic pumps are perfect for various fluids

Now, the York team has added Sandpiper’s line of heavy-duty ball metallic pumps, or HDB pumps, to its inventory. These pumps are built to handle thin-to-highly viscous fluids, including heavy-duty fluids and liquids that are laden with small solids. Each of these units has an extended ware package.

With top or bottom discharges

The key strength of these pumps is their heavy-duty construction, which is unlike anything else in the industry – making them the perfect pick for liquids that are heavy with solids or very dense, which other AODD brands cannot handle will, if at all.

The HDB series consists of light and portable pumps, some of which weigh as little as 14 kilograms, and users can mount them either vertically or horizontally. These Sandpiper pumps can handle high-pressure flow and up to 22 millimetres of solids, with suction lifts that range as high as six metres. They also have ball check valves to make sure that fluids pump at a high flow, plus top or bottom discharges to deal with tough, solids-laden material.

Other notable features of this pump series: thick wall construction with sand-casted aluminum, stainless steel, or alloy C diaphragms; check valves with elastomer options, such as thermal plastic elastomers or PTFE; diaphragm connecting rods; and externally serviceable air-distribution systems with air valves.

The HDB series of heavy-duty ball metallic pumps is part of the Sandpiper Signature series of AODD units, which customers trust for high performance and durability. York Fluid Controls carries these pumps in four different metallic designs, with flow rates that run from 159 to 988 litres per minute, as well as discharge ports that measure between one and four inches.
