Capitol Industries Inc. is a major manufacturer of security solutions for more than 60 years. Today, our primary specialty is cam locks, which represent four-fifths of our product line. These cam locks are latches that consist of a cylinder and cam; the cylinder is where the user inserts a key or tool to rotate the cam, which performs the latching operation.

Cam locks are found in tool boxes, control and access panels, cash drawers, medical equipment, office furniture, electronic equipment, laboratory cabinets, and any other applications that require privacy and security. As with all of our products, these locks are manufactured in a vertically integrated operation that begins with design and proceeds to tool production, secondary machining, finishing, and assembly, all in our ISO 9001-2015-certified facility to maximize quality assurance.

Our cam-lock lineup includes the following items:

• Standard cam locks. These locks generally come with nickel finishes, although other options are available, and standard or full threads. Barrel lengths range from 3/8 of an inch to 1-3/8 inches; cam lengths run from ¾ to 2-3/8 inches; and cam inset/offset goes from -½ to ½ an inch.
• Tubular cam locks. Barrel lengths from 11 to 30 millimetres; cam inset/offset from -½ to ½ an inch; and cam lengths from ¾ to 2-3/8 inches.
• Magnetic cam locks. These discreet locks have more than 1,500 magnetic locking combinations and cannot be picked or bumped. They can be retrofit from any standard cam lock, and keys cannot be copied. Also resistant against glue and dirt, they excel in outdoor applications. Nickel finishes are standard. Barrel lengths from 5/8 to 1-1/8 inches; cam lengths and cam inset/offset have ranges identical to those of the standard and tubular cam lock.
• Small-diameter cam locks. With removable cores and straight or corner mounting wings.

We also offer full cam-lock kits at Capitol. Barrel lengths from 3/8 of an inch to 1-3/8 inches, with optional finishing materials. Customized product development is also available through their services.
