The brains of any motion-control system, Omron’s motion controllers take input commands from users in feedback-based systems, compare them with feedback signals from the motors, and take corrective action to bring outputs and inputs in line with one another, preferably with little or zero error. These devices also create the trajectories that motors follow to meet the desired commands and then use the trajectories to generate proper torque commands, which are then sent to the drives that power the motors.

We carry 13 different models of motion controllers by Omron. Various types of motion architecture are available, such as machine controllers, programmable multi-axis controllers, standalone, Omron-PLC-based, and servo-based. Options for drive-control methods include analog output, EtherCAT, MECHATROLINK-II, pulse train output, indexer functionality, and PWM output. The number of axes on a model ranges from one to 256, while applicable servo drives include 1S, Accurax G5, G-Series, and SmartStep 2. Relevant PLC series include NX/NJ, CJ, CS1, and Standalone. The CK3M model has CNC functionality, while the CK3E and NY51-A versions have G-Code programming language.
