Economical and efficient filtration solutions

As it continually adds better filtration equipment and systems to its inventory, York Fluid Controls aims to design and produce the most economical and efficient bag filters on the market. Whether standard or custom-fabricated, these products handle any volume of liquid or level of cleanliness. They are available at affordable prices, with a very low filter cost per gallon. Filter cartridges, housings, and media filters are also available.

York filtration bags are capable of removing paint sludge, crystals, asbestos fibres, giardia bacteria, and many other materials. They can also remove trace oils from process or wastewater streams, as well as pre-filter expensive sub-micron membrane systems. Bag and cartridge sizes range from on to 800 microns, in absolute or nominal efficiency to 99 per cent.

These filter bags are available in four different media styles: felt, mesh, polyester multifilament, and oil removal. Felt filters are recommended for applications requiring particle retention from one to 200 microns. Available in polyester or polypropylene, felt media offers three-dimensional depth filtration, which results in far higher loading capacity of solids over an equal area of mesh fabric. Mesh, or nylon monofilament, is a woven fabric consisting of a single untwisted thread and with evenly spaced holes, recommended solely for surface filtration. Mesh bags range from 25 to 800 microns.

Polyester multifilament bags are low-cost products suitable for surface filtration, made of a disposable fabric consisting of small diameter threads twisted together. These products are available from 100 to 800 microns. Oil-removal bags can remove trace amounts of petroleum-based material from paint, coatings, and other fluids.
